Any fans of the series here? Like most people, I started on Morrowind then bought Oblivion. I liked Morrowind, but I didn't really fall in love with the games until Oblivion.

I'm so looking forward to Skyrim as well. I always play as a Nord so to finally be in the homeland of the race I usually play as should be a lot of fun.

So if there are fans of the series here, what game do you like best and what type of character do you play as. Like I said before, I play as a Nord primarily. I generally go with swords and awesome armor though in my main Oblivion file, I've been building up magic as well as my thief skills such as security and sneak.

Eh, it's not bad but it lacks flamethrowers and mini-nukes.

To be fair, you can sort of make them.

I've made a nuke spell by combining fire and poison and just maxing out range, damage, and duration.

You can't make your own spells in Skyrim, which is the only thing that makes me go "FAKKRAEP!" about that game. Everything else about the game, though, seems better than Oblivion, so I really don't know what exactly people are complaining about when they go "OMG the game is dumbed down even more than Oblivion".

I mean, c'mon now, I know Morrowind was more complex, yada-yada-yada, but from what we've seen so far, Skyrim is just plain better than Oblivion, IMO.

Doesn't that cost like 1000000000 mana?

Yeah, it required screwing around with the console code in the PC version, but yeah, it does. I did it to see how ridiculously overpowered a character could get in the game.
